MX-2300 MX-5500 off the wall question

I am one of those crazy people that read the manuals (do not have enough experience to know everything). I was asked to rebuild some MX-27NUSA drum units for use in an MX-5500. I was given MX-270MK main charge kits. I noticed in the manual it should be an MX-700MK. Was told they are same thing. I compared them and only noticed a color difference - but that caught my eye as, by appearance, they are different.

I know the "green" cleaning shafts are a different length, but is there any operational difference in the kits - or is this just a case of duplicate items with different part numbers (and possibly cost)?

I believe the 700mk is only for the black drum.

The 700MK is for color. The 700MC is for black. But thanks for trying to help.

Thats what I get for not checking. If the 27's work, it is probably just a cost difference. Give a different # so you have to stock more.
Sharp seems to be good at that.
