Mx-2640n keeps getting a u2-81 error code

Scanner board was replaced and the firmware was updated.

Try SIM 63-2 & 4 if you have the test charts (white shading sheet and SIT chart). If you have no charts run SIM 63-5 to set to default values.
Could also try setting scan exposure to color or B/W instead of Auto. I have seen that do some whacky things.

SERIOUSLY i am having a big issue with my sharp MX2300, it does not accept any type of simulations HONESTLY error code U2-81 can be cleared despite the fact that i have tried ALL KINDS OF SIMULATIONS from sim 16, 14, 24-07, sim 63-5, etc, infact i cant even align/calibrate the printer keeps saying load A3 while A3 paper is in all the Trays.. Please help.. God bless you

I hope you changed tray settings to A3 paper in Tray 1.
