    Angry mx3100n color issue

Hello! I have a mx3100n that is giving issues with gray half tones. no matter if it is a scan or print job, if the job is done in color mode, the gray tones have a cyan/blue tint to them. I have done copy and print calibration to no avail. If the job is done in b/w, it looks great. drums and developer have been changed too. Any info would be great. wanna pull whats left of my hair out!!!

I sounds like you're only getting compensate black (CMY mix) and noting from the black drum.

Right? if you send a print job grayscale to the copier, it looks fine. black copy off platen looks fine. do the same in color and it cast a cyan/blue tint.

when the transfer belt engages the color drums, couls the black drum be out of position or too far away from the belt?

    Re: mx3100n color issue

You missed a few components of the colour calibration. You should be doing a 44-27 to clear your half tone values; if you don't have a good half tone you'll never have a good full tone. There's also 44-2, 44-6, 50-28 and 50-22 to do.

The MX3100 series also supports the full calibration code of 46-74 which will do the complete calibration procedure.
