Sharp MX 2700N white streak in black

    printing_issue.jpg
I am having an issue with a white streak running through the black on my Sharp MX 2700N.
The attached photo shows a test print printed in portrait and landscape mode.
In addition to wiping all the rollers and belts and cleaning everything, I have replaced the green roller in the black drum. I also tried switching the black drum with the magenta drum and the streak still printed in the black. So I think that eliminates the drum.
So, that leaves the black developer unit? Are there replaceable parts on the developer unit? Can it be rebuilt or is it only available as a whole unit. Or, I am off base completely?

You may have contamination in the black developer unit - easy to check, just pull it out and check the 'brush'; you could also have a dirty LSU slit glass.

Fixed...Dirty LSU slit glass. I can't believe how simple that was. Apparently I've been inserting the cleaning wand upside down. When I pulled the drum and developer unit, I could see that the wand went in face down.

Any idea where I can order some fresh pads for the cleaning wand for the LSU glass? Or the part number? Mine is pretty black now.

Check the waste toner bottle, it should have a couple.

The # for the pad is CDAIU0699DS71. They do come with the waste bottle.

if you are in a pinch, I don't know what type of white wiping cloths you have to use, but the ones our company supplies to us tears down the length. You can wrap a thin strip around the wand and use it.
