    MXM754 blinking green power indicator

Unit had a U2-40 (SD card error) last Friday then on Monday would not power up. Only indicators are a flashing green light from the power supply indicator on the op panel and about every 10 seconds the unit will make a clicking noise. All voltages check out for the AC power supply. When you turn the unit on LED 1 on the PCU board flashes about 15 times then you get the clicking noise, LED 1 goes dark then the process repeats. No fans are running at this time.

Sharp recommended replacing the SD card. We tried it in another machine and it worked fine so that is not the problem. One interesting note is that if you slide out the print control board the units fans will start up and you get a relatively normal sounding unit but the power indicator light on the op panel is still flashing. Unit has only been on site for 2 months and has about 150K copies on it.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and effort in this matter.

Have you tried new flash rom on MFP Controller. Had similiar problem on MX-4110n. Replaced SD card And Flash Rom as pair and booted right up.

It does appear to be the PCL ROM. Took it out and put into another unit and had the same problems. Thank you for the help jp.
