    Received PM asking for firmware.

I just received the following PM from sk_jr:
Dear sir, my name is Shatesh and i'm from Malaysia. We are actually selling reconditioned/refurbished RICOH copiers and so we are not authorised dealers for RICOH in our country. I've been having lots of problems due to the firmware issues mainly for scan to folder to windows 8 and above. Will like to request the firmwares from you if you have them . These are some models we sell AF3030/3045/MP5000/MP3010/MPC3300/MPC4500/MP3350/MP3351 and MPC2550. I only have latest firmware for MP C3000 and it have been solving the windows 8 problems. Your help will be very much appreciated .

Gotta love it...even if you state in your signature line.."don't ask me for..." you still get PMs from some slobs...I guess it doesn't hurt to ask, but I hope they don't get their feeling hurt with a FOAD reply...Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

I have no difficulty ignoring such requests. It is equally easy to ignore jamming threads that do not list a jam code, or error code threads that do not include an error code.

There are so many better ways to waste my time. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

My biggest peeve over the last 20+ years in this business has been "TECHS" that look for help without even knowing what code has had them stumped for the past hour.
