    SC405 error

    I have a Gestetner 3245 with an error code of SC405 - What is this code and how can I clear it?

    Any info would be great.

    SC 405: Transfer belt error
    -Definition- [B]
    The transfer belt does not move away from the drum during ID sensor pattern
    checking.
    - Possible causes -
    ·
    Main motor/drive malfunction

    ·
    Transfer belt position sensor defective

    · Poor transfer belt position sensor connection

    That's the transfer belt contact clutch - part number A232 2379.
    Up to my nuts in toner and loving it!
