Thumbs down Couple of issues

1. Post removed without warning or explanation.

I created a for sale post in the correct forum for Ricoh 4mb PCMCIA cards where has it gone and why was it removed?

2. manuals4you.

Constantly plugging his site to buy manuals but leaning on members that are willing to freely share manuals they have.

All so he can increase his chances to make a quick buck imho.
I find this pathetically self serving and not in keeping with the sharing and helping nature of the community and it's members.

1.
Well I´m with you, seem like the administration of this forum is in the hands of Mr Manual, maybe they´ve got other thing in hand but thats just a guess.

2.
there are so many people out there willing to put there hands a one of those cards, and they are at a very, very reasonable price.

3. Why don´t they remove all that bull shit of Chinese apple iPhones and blackberrys, that yes is crap and that yes takes dollers out of there money circuit.

4.
I´m worried that theres no comun sense on this forum, I´ve also Experienced the fact of them getting on my Ass just because I posted a copyrighted TB document, even got a PM telling me to stop posting them, why? very easy so that he can sell them.

Dito.

Unhappy I concure

Yep I'll agree with that, posting a Canon ATI that is freely available and posted with all the copyright marks intact as it is supposed to be got me a nice little PM from Mr Manual.

These ATI's are designed for everyone to use and pass around so long as you do not alter them or pass them off as your own. They are not supposed to be sold.

Manuals and Parts Catalogues are one thing - alot of the companies sell them themselves but NOT the technical bulletins and unusual fault notifications.

I also object to the SPAM of mobile phones and other non copier / printer / fax related objects - if you want that go to ebay!

Angry

I agree with the others here.

Our user manuals are freely available through ALL Konica Minolta official websites. I find it extremely offensive that there are some people trying to sell those manuals. Many of them have this....

OpenSSL License
Copyright © 1998-2005 The OpenSSL Project.

Or something similar, different dates. Like Linux, these are free to the end user, regardless of how they obtained the machine in question.

I am very tempted to bring this up with our head office, lodge a formal complaint about the guys who are "selling" our tech manuals, which clearly show on the first page, "for internal use only". I've no issues with assisting someone on basic information on how to perform something, but I do have issues with someone who is not an agent of my company giving out the whole technical manual, and certainly huge issues with someone "selling" those manuals for obvious profit.

Anyone who wants Konica Minolta user manuals, just visit KonicaMinolta.ca or KonicaMinolta.com

We will not charge you for downloading these manuals.

I am in agreement as well. A coworker and I who both have accounts here have desperately been trying to reobtain a manual for a Xerox 635 fax machine. We used to have the book manual, not the pdf version and have misplaced it. Everytime we post, in the right spots about getting the manual, or even JUST THE PARTS LIST it gets removed before anyone gets to view it! This morning, before reading this post, had to give in and pay for the manual at justmanuals. Granted, 11 to 12 bucks isn't bad, but very aggravating to have to do that because our posts are getting removed.

Jack of All Trades
I don't really mind if he removes posts that offer to sell manuals cheaper than him, it's his site, but ffs I just wanted to TRADE for a manual and posted a link to our list. Even after that got removed and I decided it was due to the fact we sell manuals as well, I removed the link and just asked to trade for it, and I'd send the list or someone can send me what they needed and that got removed as well. I've traded manuals with him like this in the past so no idea why now this isn't acceptable.

I couldn't even get a PM explaining why my posts were removed.

Again I don't see a problem with anyone selling manuals or technical information. Some folks are too lazy to spend time looking for what they need for free, and if someone can make some money off of it, I'm all for it.

I'm just ticked that those of us who are willing to help others and have turned the site into a good resource cannot even be granted the courtesy of a PM explaining why our posts are removed.
