e-studio 650 image quality problem, see pic

I have an e-studio 650 that is elongating the image. Happens using the glass as well as the ADF. Check out my pic, tell me what you think is happening, thanks for looking.

For me, I will do a list print report/counter to check the outcome, following by transfer unit, drum unit, main charger and lastly clean the slit glass...

I would expect to see a problem like this caused by:

    1) a failing scanner motor or scanner driver board (i.e. Sharp Cougar)
    2) or the original stalling (any of Sharps crappy desktop ADF's)

... but I would not expect this to affect both the glass and the ADF. Most certainly it's a scanner issue of some sort, not a print engine problem. Maybe you should make some more observations like:

does it affect internal prints or PC prints?
    does it affect scanning?
ADF? OC (off copy board glass)?
    =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It works fine when I am there on site. I had to dig this print out of the trash to find an example. I also had to take their word for it, that it is happening off the OC glass. I have never been able to reproduce this problem. I see one line is not straight, jump up and down like a seismograph reading (yeah I got to use seismograph in a sentence). I was hoping someone would have run across this before and could tell me if its a motor problem or board problem. Thanks for everyone's input.

I have seen something like that on 650s but It would not happen when using the doc feeder. The problem I have seen a lot is from the scanner rails. I would wipe them clean and put a little grease on them and the problem would go away. This would only affect copy when using glass though.

Longshot, but check the drum coupling gear, I've seen the set screw back out just enough to cause the drum to stall during the copy process. As old as this MFP is though it could be anything...laser, scanner board, charge corona arcing....Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

I think its the problem of slg board or cable that are connected to the slg and sys board

i've seen something similar on the es 455 when someone puts a heavy book on the glass or pushes down too hard when copying in book mode.

Never believe the customer! I always ask them to reproduce the problem for me if they can.
It must be something slipping in the scanner don't think it would be rollers because the machine would jam.
Ask the customer if the machine shows an ADF jam when it happens.
Could be a bad scanner motor or something slipping.
If it was a drum slipping the image would not make it across the paper.
