E306 low density on front frame

New to Toshibas, so I'm still learning here. Estudio 306, around 200k total. Has horrible density on the front frame side of the image. Rear half the density is good. 1st copy is barely acceptable, it gets lighter and lighter as you run more. The low density area does appear on the drum. Does it when printing and copying. Previous tech replaced process unit, as well as swapped one with a machine down the hall with no change. I've updated the firmware and performed density adj as per bulletin.

I also cleaned the drum pin and process contacts. My next guess is trying get a high voltage board to try, but I don't feel good about that without some more solid troubleshooting to back me up. Any help guys??

Hello, is the 2e transferroller in good shape (fysical) including the contacts?
Maybe current leak because of bad plastic bearing of transferroller?

Does it still have the plastic strap that supports the right side door at the front? If yes is it broken?

When the strap is intact and working properly the end that attaches to the door swivels with the door movement. When it's broken, and there's no tension on the strap it doesn't swivel, and keeps the door from closing properly at the front.

You have two choices:
1) Replace the strap.
2) Remove the strap altogether.

Warning: I've been told that without the strap the door will start to deform, bowing out. I haven't seen that myself, and have been watching for it.

Thanks for the help guys. The machine is in the shop now, so I'll check those things out tomorrow.
I just eliminated the transfer system because the poor density was showing up on the drum, but i'll approach it with fresh eyes in the morning.

If it's not properly developed on the drum you can forget the strap and transfer. That narrows it down to primary charge (scorotron or grid loose), or development (maybe depleted developer (?) but that usually affects the whole image). =^..^=
