Looking to replace my 3511 with the 311C - Is it worth it?

Hello All,

Im looking to replace my 3511, im not happy with the color print qulaity. I have a cheap $300 HP color laser printer which is giving me better quality color prints. I found a online vendor selling a 311C at a good price. I was wondering if this model would give better print qualtiy then the 3511. I am printing mainly color broshures, and the 3511 isnt cutting it. Especicially since you cant use thick 3 card stock in the regular trays!

Please let me know your opions/thoughts and recomendations!

Thanks
chris

3511 and 311C

Hello Chris,

If the 311C is in good shape, it is worh. The 3511 is a business color machine and the 311c is a graphics color machine.

Much better copy quality.

Hey Pablo,

Thanks for the reply. Its in good shape, the 311C has around 220k on the meter, and comes with the 1020 saddle stich finisher. With the 311, will this unit also duplex from the regular paper trays on heavier stock? (70lb). The 3511 will not print on anything over Thick-1 in the main trays...

Thanks for the info!
Chris

311c

Hey chris,

The 311c will not let you duplex on tick paper. My recommendation to you is to try the machine before you buy it. You will like the copy quality and you may be able to duplex 60lb as regular paper. For tick 3 you will have to use the bypass tray and single sided copies only.

311c

You may want to look at the e-Studio 3500c. The Copy quality is very good, you can duplex up to 90 lb. from the trays and up to 28 lb. from the large capacity feeder. It will also handle 140.b, Index form the bypass and the duplexer is more reliable than the one on the 311c.
