Not with plain paper, and only brief delays on LT Thick2, but on Ledger Thick2 it's the worst.
It will copy or print 4 pages (~35 seconds), then starts the "Wait" cycle of 120 seconds, then prints 4 more pages, then "Wait" for 120 more seconds, ... until the job is complete. The paper source does not matter, bypass or tray. Same effect on Thick1, Thick2, and Thick3 Ledger.
So far I've cleaned, then replaced the thermistors and adjusted thermistor spacing per manual. Checked continuity on lamps, thermostats, fuser harness, and modular connectors. Updated firmware to v.1261. Then I started experimenting with fixing temperatures. If I set Thick2 Heat Roller and Pressure Roller +10C, it will do 5 pages before the "Wait", but the wait is still 2 minutes. If I force the Pressure Roller lamp to stay on a minimum of 7 seconds, and the Heat Roller heater to stay on a minimum of 3 seconds, I can get 7 consecutive pages before the "Wait", and it's still 2 minutes of cooling my heels. Mechanically fixing pressure is being applied, and all the bushings and bearings are intact. There are no C4xx errors stored or cleared (no fuser codes).
The machine has only 75K prints, almost all color. There was a lot of drippy sticky toner throughout the fuser. I'm hoping that was caused by momentary forgetfulness of setting the proper media type.
I'm resisting the urge to order $1K boards. The Logic and IH boards are the only items I have not changed, that seem to make any sense. I anticipate that when the Thick2 media type setting is working properly we should have 25 or 30 consecutive pages followed by a 10 to 15 second warmup.
Maybe a power issue? Has anybody seen this? =^..^=
