controller stuck in "please wait" cycle

I've got an eStudio 310c with the internal GA-1120 X3e controller, and after about a week of tinkering i got it hooked up to my network and printed with it without any issues. All of a sudden it stopped, the printer/network button i use to shut down, etc, no longer worked, adn upon restart, the controller states:

loading system...

press any key for config mode

system booting... please wait...

then gets stuck in a "please wait..." cycle, and i can never get anywhere past there.

I can get to test mode through the main screen, but not the menu on the controller. Fiery says the copier is offline, and pinging its address times out. Any ideas on how i can get it back to normal operation?
