TOS ES162

I have aTOS es162 that when you put originals in the feeder blank copies come out but when a orig. is placed on the glass it copies fine. Has anyone had this problem ?

Check with the Sharp forums, since they build this pos for Tos.

I'll agree there...

Never the less, make sure the scanner is moving to the ADF slit glass. If it is not, but looks like it is trying then take the glass off and lube the scanner rail up with some lightweight grease. I've seen them get dry and the scanner won't move at the "fast" speed, but will move at the "slow" speed to make a platen copy.

I lubed the scanner rails and that took care of the problem.

No problem. I've seen it alot... mostly causes a chattering or groaning noise as the scanner moves (if the rail is dry.) Just saw you are from Roanoke, cool, I am originally from Amherst. If you know where my screen name is then you know the area pretty well (: I'm down in SWVA now.
