Re: ES 356se scanned file problem.

I looks to me like a focus issue. The way I addressed this was to dig out a bunch of micro-thin plastic shims from my toolcase. Where the CCD assembly mounts to the adjuster bracket I loosened the screws and inserted shims to figure out what direction the CCD needed to be adjusted.

My machine was a bizhub 423. This CCD has three adjuster screws. It needed to be higher at the rear and higher at the right. Once I knew which direction it needed to be adjusted, I removed the shims, remounted the CCD assembly flat on the adjuster bracket, and turned the painted adjuster screws in the appropriate direction. You can use the shadow at the trail end of a ledger original/copy as your reference. First balance front to rear, so that the shadow is even front to back. Then adjust the right side adjuster to make that shadow back away until you get good focus all the way to the end of a ledger original/copy.

Focus is even more crucial on a color scanner than on a monochrome scanner. But the principle remains the same.

    I think I have a photo:

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Check a scan off the glass without using the document feeder..if the scan is ok (without blueish tint) feeder height needs to be adjusted
