Unhappy Latch the developer unit ES 355

    Hello all

I did a drum and developer change on a ES 355. When I put everything back in the machine and turned it on, the machine says to "latch the developer unit"'
I took the process unit back out (2 screws no plugs) tore it all apart and put it back together, Same message. Took it out again and checked all connectors and looks for bent pins and so forth. Reinstalled and getting same message.
I took a different process unit from another machine that is working and that gives me the same message.

Please any insight would be awesome.
    Tnx Robert

I usually see this message when I forget to plug the larger connector in at the front of the imaging unit. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Tnx for the reply. I have re-seated all the connectors several times. I also tried a different imaging unit.

Before u close the front cover, there is a connector to plug to the process unit/imaging unit...If already latched, then u probably need to trace the cable which might be harness problem...

Check the larger connector at the front that would be the answer..., I forget it also before and I learned if unplugged the connector.,

No i dont think so. The latch developer message usually means that your developer inside your deve unit is shot.
