Toshiba e 901/ cover is open message

I have a toshiba 901 that gives me a display screen that says
" cover is open: Close indicated cover.".however no cover is indicated. I know this is a ricoh copier and the svc manual is
noexistant about this info..how can i tell which cover ?
Or is this some power supply issue? Any experience out there?

front door switch.. # 5 of 6 switches had a faulty wire connection. even though it checked good in the switch itself
