    eStudio 3040c print quality issue

    Hi all,

Our Toshiba estudio 3040c is producing prints like the attached image and I was hoping someone might have an idea of which parts might need replacing to repair the machine. Only black prints are affected. Apologies for the very dark scan but I think the issues can still be seen clearly. Thanks in advance.

It's a developing issue. The black developer is depleted.

This is not the sort of thing that an enduser can do. Hire a tech. Have them bring out an OD-FC25 drum, and a DEV-KIT-FC25K. The tech will also stir the developer and do a color calibration.

If you're not getting codes yet, you'll have CE40 and CA00 codes in your near future.

Pay for a tech. It's worth it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks for the advice. I think we may look at retiring this one, i'm sure the next issue will start as soon as this is repaired

Perhaps, but I would consider this nothing more than ordinary periodic maintenance. =^..^=
