    4520c Misfeed in printer

    Hey all,

I have an issue with a 4520c, it will print about 10 to 20 pages then have a misfeed and jams (error code E010).

The paper jams at the transport guide (where the green dial is), just as it leaves the fuser.

The paper seems to have curled over itself on one end, which seem to be causing the jam.

Any advice would be much appericated, would be worth the hassle to fix it or upgrade to a newer model?

what's the life on the consumables?

please provide more info if you want help.

Toshiba's have a catch-all jam code E010. It could be anywhere in the machine.

The description you gave points to worn out foam roller shaft or bushings or bearings or some combination. As a result you can get uneven fixing pressure, and the corner with the weak fixing pressure will snag on the claws. Look for rust dust from the shaft or bearings, or brown plastic dust from the bushings, most commonly at the rear. These parts are still available (and modified bearings for thicker bushings that last much longer), as well as the FR-KIT-FC28. I think that's where I would start.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
