    Toshiba MJ 1104 Problem

Working on a Toshiba E Studio 6550 CT with an MJ 1104 Finisher that has saddle stitch. For some reason as soon as you press the finishing option pertaining to the saddle stitch feature, the job status light comes on and says check saddle stitch staple cartridge.I checked the cartridges and and refilled both of them( even though they both still had staples in them). Did not see any jammed staples. The Regular staple function works fine. Am i missing something? Any ideas what the problem could be?
    Would appreciate any help.
    Thanks

Yes, I'm pretty sure that you're missing something.

You'll get check staples indications if:
    1) ... there aren't any staples or the staple strips are too warped to advance properly.
    2) ... there is a bad connection to the stapler. A connector may not be properly connected. Or the ribbon cable may have flexed the maximum number of times and the conductors inside the ribbon cable have broken inside the sheath.

Does is make the clicky noise like it's trying to advance the staples? If yes probably #1. If no probably #2.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
