    Toshiba eStudio 2830C

Went out to this machine for poor copy quality. The image looks good on the transfer belt but it is not transferring onto the paper. Everything appears to look good on the secondary transfer roller (door side). Any suggestions as what to look for?

    Thanks in advance

Is the copier throwing any error codes? CE40, CA00? Is the second transfer roller making good contact with the metal contacts at the rear? Is the image fine on the transfer belt. Has normal periodic maintenance been done via the pm support list?

no codes are coming up. Image looks really good on the Transfer Belt. I didn't see anything wrong with the secondary transfer roller. I called Hytec and they said High Voltage PCB. Just wanted to know if there is something else I might want to check first.

I would suspect not if the image looks good on the belt. Your eyeball may not be the best measure of the density of the patches though.

If this occurs on plain paper, you may have a very dirty facing roller.
If this occurs on heavy media and you're using the correct media type settings, you may need to adjust the 2nd transfer bias voltages. There is a bulletin on this. Like other adjustments, there are specific settings for every media type and various paper sizes, so be sure to make your changes in all the appropriate 08 modes.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I did a sky shot as well as copying my test chart. The transfer belt had a very nice coating of black toner when I did the sky shot
