    Old BD1310

    Hello all!

I managed to get that old 1310 going.. the thermistor was stuffed - I used a 1550 thermistor element and shoved it inside the original holder. It works!

Anyway, now I'm greeted with BLACK copies. The test chart image is visible amongst the toner mess, but only just. The optics are clean. If I remove the main charge I get blank copies, as expected. The exposure lamp can be varied in brightness. I can't remember where and how to measure the bias voltages on these, but varying the main charge voltage varied the depth of the black copies.

Any hints? Stuff I should try? This old banger should be on the dump but I should be able to make a dollar or two out of it if I get it working.

Check main charger for disruptive discharge on both ends. Enter 03 mode, open it and power on charger wires .

Is there a jig for this? Can I use something else? Do the end blocks on these old machines play up much (ie arching) ?

    Thank you for your help,

Fixed it! It was the exposure lamp. It worked, but was really dull. Changed it, set the exposures, all good! Thanks to everyone who helped.
