Hello. I have a problem with a machine. now i need a firmware for that model (e-studio 3511 / 4511) i think is the same. Anyone can help me? I have a version but i think is a wrong version, because the machine it doesn`t start now. I can`t access the 08 or 05 menu, so i think is a big problem. If anyone can help me, i`ll be happy to help, too. Thanks a lot. A good day.

sounds to me like your hard drive is stuffed. it may be worth trying to re partition the HDD by switching on while holding the C button & number 3 , select option 3 & press start, if it errors you know the HDD is completely U/S, if it succeeds, then update the firmware with the correct version that you hopefully have downloaded from Baphomet aka mr copierguru, once it's updated, switch on in to 08 mode & type 947 then press start & select initialize on the screen.
    good luck.

Hi optik. You just got two replays from senior Toshiba technicians, and I mean two of the best I've ever met, don't waste them.A few more info will be very helpful to us to understand initial cause of your problem(s) and help you.
I can't add some more now, but here are the questions:
    1.Initial problem?
    2.Firmware version-new and old?
3.At what point update fails and how did you do that?

    Good luck

Ok, thanks for your response. First... my english is not verry well... i hope you will understand me perfect. I am a tehnician too, i repare toshiba copiers, but this is the first time when i try to repair this model.
The hard drive of the machine was broken... when i started the machine i got a error code: F100. I replaced the hard drive with a new one. But first of all, i cloned another hard drive from another e-studio 3511. The machine starts, but i cannot print from the computer. When i tried to print a list of functions or any other file from copier, i got a message: "LIST PRINT IS RESERVED". With a service manual, i update the firmware of NIC. After that, the machine was ok. It works perfect, but i couldn`t print from pc. i set up the IP, but the machine doesn`t respond at PING command. So i thought that the problem will be solved when I`ll update all the firmwaresand OS. After I update all the firmwares, including the OS, step by step after the service manual, the machine doesn`t start. Even the 08 or 05 mode doesn`t start now. The other machine, had the same problem. It doesn`t printing from a PC. I update the NIC firmware. Same problem... not responding at PING command from PC. I change the network cable and the problem was fixed. The machine printed from the computer. After that, i realised that the first copier was ok, but the problem was on my network cable. I forgot to check all the connections betwen computer and copier and i did a big mistake. I tried to update the OS and firmwares from the archive that you send me. All are completed succesfuly but the copierd doesn`t start. It stays blocked whit that logo from the begining and nothing happens. How i am at home, and i don`t know what version of firmware is, but i`ll tell you in the next post. I think the problem is from the sysfirm.bin When this file is in USB storage device, the updating procedure doesn`t start.... i got a message: "PLEASE WAIT... NOW INITIALIZATION" and nothing happens, again. It takes 2-3-4 hours and... nothing. if i remove the sysfirm.bin from the USB storage... the update proccess is starting... but i dont receive any fail message, just complete succesfully and insert the next usb storage device and than press START, but i understand that message is a bug or something like that. So, i`ll send you in the next post what versions i have, old and new one.
I hope that you understand waht i am trying to say and i appreciate all for your answers, but i try all the solution from the service manuals, and i follow step by step all the procedures. I hope you will give an opinion or a solution if you have. Thanks a lot and have a god day.

Huh... i did this operations before.. but i forgot to mention. I told you that i have a service manual... i need an ideea, out of service manual or something like that. The USB was formated as a FAT, not FAT32, on the USB storage device is nothing else just de files which are needed. I tryed with and without 35_4511 directory. Anything that is in manual service and instructions. The HDD is ok, has no bad sectors. The USB storage device is OK. C+3+POWER ON. Delete all partitions, after switch OFF and then again ON... i select the second option... CREATE PARTITIONS ... OFF again. The OS instalation. Then the rest of the files. Everything like in manual.
Now i am thinking... is there any posibility to save on a USB storage device, the OS or the rest of the files witch are stored on another machine? Or if I tried to clone the OS from the first copier which is ok? Or just download in USB? I mean if it is possible to create a back-up or something like that. I have no more ideas... Thanks for you interest.

This may be one of the versions that have to be done as two updates and not one. (this was from the version 3801 but I think 4006 was the same).
    first you update the os

OS Update Procedure: Do This First
Note: You will need to do this in most cases. However, if you are REINSTALLING firmware on a machine already at version 3801, skip this step.
    1. Install the ROM.bin data in the root directory of a blank USB memory device formatted as FAT (not FAT23). This file is found in rom-bin directory of the download package.
    2. Turn off the copier.
    3. Remove any existing USB dongles from the USB port(s) and insert the USB memory device containing the ROM.bin file.
    4. Power up the copier holding the [4] and [9] keys
    5. Press 0 to select the OS for update and deselect 1 ~6. Only update the OS. there will not be a description for firmware packages 1 and 3: This is normal.
    6. Press [START] and let the update run to completion.
    7. When the operation is complete, power down and remove the USB memory device.

then you go back and put the rest of the files on the thumbdrive and do everything but the os (option 0).
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Thanks again... but I try as you say from 10 times by now... the OS is complete. but the firmsys.bin file doesn`t appear on the menu. The option 3 is empty. there, should be the SYSTEM FIRMWARE UPDATE. I remove the Network interface... i understand that the updating process may be not ok... from 5 days i am trying to solve the problem. days and nights. the service manual and the installing procedure that i have doesn`t help me now. I know this steps... i don`t need a manual. Tomorow i`ll buy another hard drive and i`ll try again. A Toshiba technician try to solve me the problem and... nothing. I don`t have any explication. I`ll post again when I`ll solve the problem.... if I do that
    Thanks again all of you...

Ok, the HDD drive is bigger than 80. But i don`t think that is a problem. HDD drive has 160 GB. But, if you had read my posts... i sad that i clone this HDD and it was ok, the machine starts. so after i update the NIC firmware... was ok. Problem was on my Network, but i didn`t check... I cannot print. I thought that the problem will be solved if i reinstall the OS. But i did a big mistake. The other one... e-3511 have the same problem... after i update the NIC doesn`t print... i check the Switch Network and then the copiers start to print, but it was to late for the broken copier. Anyway... a 80 GB HDD i don`t know if i can find. Thanks for your post.
