Exclamation Toshiba e-studio 80 / sc-2 controler

I have the Toshiba E-Studio 80 copy machins with a 2-SC Controler for approximately one year and everything was working fine. All of a sudden the controller started to "BEEP" contantly after start up. If I shut the controller off and leave the copy machine power switch on the beeping stops and the copy maching still works fine.

Can anybody suggest what would cause the controller to constanley beep?

I am considering replacing the controller and would like to find out if there are any used SC-2 Controllers available and if so what is the cost for one that will allow network printing and scaning of documents.

I think that SC-2 controller first is a PC so if it beeps constantly you try to check AGP card & RAM dimm on it .Good luck

DECIMAL:

I am not very falimar with the Toshiba Studio 80 machine. Is the AGP card the card in the controller where the multiple pin cable connector connects to the copy machine. It is a small card with some ICC numbers printed on it.

I truly appreciate your help and where can I locate a replacement card?

I assume the only way that you can check the card is to replace it?

AGAIN THANKS FOR THE HELP AT LEAST I NOW KNOW WERE TO LOOK FOR THE PROBLEM.

THANK YOU

One important piece of information is that when i press the reset button on the front panel of the controller, the beeping stops for ablout 15 seconds and then starts again.

Another additional piece of information is that i am no longer able to print from my network while the controler is beeping, and the controller starts to beep approximately 15 seconds after i push the power button on the front face of the controller.

I assume that inquiring minds would like to know.

I am assuming decimal is talking about the video card since the video card and the memory are the most common causes of BIOS beep codes in a PC.
Here is the video card:
