    Question i need e-Studio 356 Sram Backup

    Hello there

I need the SRAM backup of the e-studio 356.

Device is not ADI disk. So if you have an e-studio 356 machine that uses regular disk and you can send a SRAM backup and send it, I would be very happy.

by the way i apologize for my bad english

    edit : i need only 356, not 356SE

Why do you need an SRAM backup? Did you clear or replace the SRAM?

I'm guessing that you had a failure of the SATA drive, and what you really want is firmware to load to the new HDD. Can you clarify?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The machine which is working with the SATA disk is already broken. When I want to update by installing new SRAM, it gives F106 error.
Because the Sram is looking for a disk. That's why I need a machine that does not use an ordinary disk to backup my SRAM

So you're trying to replace a Wipe drive with a SATA drive, and you think that by backing up the SRAM you can install a different type of drive? According to the manufacturer once a Wipe drive has been installed, all future drives must be the same type.

I've never actually seen an eS356 or any of that family with a SATA drive. All have been Wipe drives. I think that you'll find that with the latest firmware, you will need to replace the HDDs less often. A year ago I was using 2 HDDs a week. This year I use 1 HDD per month. =^..^=

    Re: i need e-Studio 356 Sram Backup

Early batch of e356 is using normal SATA HDD, then replaced by e356SE with new ADI HDD...

As what I know, SRAM used to store the information of the MFP such as serial number, counter...( *Correct me if I'm wrong )

If HDD problem, just replace another HDD and update firmware, no need touch the SRAM...

If the SRAM problem, u can backup the SRAM to USB, replace the SRAM, and recover the SRAM data...

If not able to backup SRAM data, u can enter 6C mode, set serial number to the MFP...

    Re: i need e-Studio 356 Sram Backup

    I solved my problem.
First, I thought I had a problem with hdd, so I changed the hdd cable since the problem was not solved after changing the hdd and the hdd device was working on another device.

When I did not solve my problem, I was trying not to assume that I needed to install a standard disk because the device had normal SATA HDD. I thought that I could solve my problem with extremely high SRAM prices (500 USD per disk) in the country.
Considering that the device wants an ADI disk due to a firmware update.

But the problem is very simple. I changed the hdd cable is broken.

    Thank you for your help.

and lastly, I hate ADI discs.
