    e-STUDIO 5560c won't boot

I have had a service call that the logo screen stay forever.
I took a hard drive from a working machine, when installed it I got service code F106-5
Yesterday. I resetted the tech password, formated hard drive and reinstalled firmware everything was completed
on 08 mode I review the versions of firmware and all were Ok no errors.
Today customer call me with same problem "machine stay in logo screen". What I did wrong?

I'm running out of ideas, please any help is welcome

Did you initialize the firmware in 08 Mode?

You know there's a section of the manual all about doing firmware. It's really handy. I review it every time I do firmware. It could help you a lot.

Just think of all that money you saved by not buying the manual, and spending 4 days doing a one hour job. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

When you're getting HDD codes like F106, F105, F103, F101, formatting the drive is a temporary solution at best. Within a week some other tech is changing the hard drive.

I will attempt to re-start the device up to 12 times in the hopes of recovering all or some of the user templates, addressbook, and network credentials, but once it's coded I definitely change the drive whether I can get it to restart or not.

Sorry if my responses seemed a bit elementary, but you have given no indication exactly what you did or if you reviewed the process in the manual. =^..^=

It typically only takes 30 seconds to code, so not such a huge inconvenience. Besides I've got to boot up the laptop, locate and copy firmware files, start disassembling the rear cover to get to the hard drive ... plenty of things to occupy that 15 minutes.

I had one Toshiba with the Wipe Drive that would boot up, but not copy or really do anything except let me access the Admin Menu. I tried to do the complete clone, but it would fail. On the fourth try I got it booted up and non-functional, then accessed the web interface. Rather than go for the complete clone file I got individual clones for each file. Only the last one failed, not sure which. It didn't matter though since I did get the scanning credentials, addressbook, and templates (the important stuff).

Started carrying around two thumb drives with EBX firmware on one and EBN on the other. I just update the thumb drives as needed at my convenience and I like not having to drag my laptop into calls with me.

The cloud connect thing is awesome, I use it to create address book backups on everything the IT departments will allow.

I have seen a drop in how fast the machines eat HDD's as of late, perhaps the engineers are adding less toner to the crack they smoke?

Also, it's hard not to be snippy sometimes as there are too many 'technicians' or end users that post without seemingly any will or want in actually troubleshooting, knowing the process or putting in any effort - they just want the answer without having to work at all for it.
