Toshiba 5540C - Can not change paper size on Tandem LCF - HELP!

Hello Everyone. You guys are my last hope!

I have a Toshiba e-studio 5540C.

I have tried everything to change the paper size in my Tandem LCF tray from what it is now (Letter) to A4 , but it will NOT change!

I have verified / done the following:

• Tried to change paper size via LCD display - If I select the LCF drawer, all the paper size options become dim, and un-selectable.

• I have verified that the physical tray hardware ( screws and dividers ) in the tray are set to A4. They are!

• Tried to set paper size via Device Settings in my driver on the computer

• 
  
  • ( Toshiba universal printer 2 - latest driver from Toshiba website )
  • Went to Printer Properties <drawer settings>, selected <A4> It will then show <A4> UNTIL I hit <Apply> then, it syncs with the machine, and "LT" shows back up as the drawer paper size. I can do this all day long, and each time is the same.. from every computer.

What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Have you updated the firmware to V4150?

Have you updated the firmware to V4150?

I followed the answer to my question, and if fixed the problem... However, where can I find version V4150 firmware to update? Can I download it from somewhere.. because I don't see it on Toshiba's website.

Authorized Toshiba dealers would not have a problem accessing this firmware.

Well then, I guess I'm one of those " non authorized people" since I'm an individual that owns a business and has bought this machine 2nd hand.

If you hire an authorized dealer and pay a fair price for service, you will not have a problem.

First off, I live in Vietnam. Finding a "qualified" individual here in a smaller town like I'm in, is impossible. But, you wouldn't know that since you never asked, and just simply strutted your self-proclaimed "God like" status as a 'service person' .
I've spent the last 20 years as a pilot on large aircraft and and also a certified aircraft mechanic. Working on a little machine that spits out paper is like child's play to me after a large array of avionics.

True, I was unable to find the code to change the paper size in the LCF - but the person below me provided me with the way to do it.... and after 2 minutes it was done. Amazing! I'm not even one of those "authorized service people" -

I simply asked you where I could find the firmware.

So, my advice is this: get rid of the attitude... You work on copy machines my friend. You're not a highly-paid brain surgeon.

Besides the firmware, you need to enter some service codes to complete the install. Good luck!

Downloading firmware from an unknown source could damage your copier.
