Latest firmware for tosh 3511/4511

I'm in urgent need for latest firmware for e-studio 3511/4511 color copier.
I would be very grateful to anyone that can help me out. I lost my thumb drive that contains the firmware. I have recently replaced the hard drive for the copier and need to update the firmware. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi all, I'm an end user so I'll understand if you guys feel I'm crossing the line.

I won on an online auction a ex lease e studio 4511 the decription said it was in working order but when I got delivery I found it wouldn't go past the splash screen and I was getting a suspect clinking sound from inside the copier. I play with computers for a hobby so I knew it was a shot hard drive. I suspect from the auction guys not shutting down the system correctlly one time too many.
I could send it back for a refund but it's a really good copier as far as I can tell, and the price was really good

SO Ive replaced it but was unable to clone it. I even put the old drive in the freezer to see if I could retreave some data. It works but only for about 2min. Any case I've formated within the 08 menu but suspect I need a copy of the firmware to complete recovery. Great site by the way very informative.

I'm a Joiner/ carpenter by trade so if you need any help with wood I might be your man

I think that most of us Toshiba technicians would concur that the 3511/4511 model copiers are a complete dog. In fact, I would go as far as to say that it would be absolutely insane to own one and not have it on a service contract. The service is labor intense and required often. It is my opinion that you should return the machine and ask for your money back ... even if it means taking a small loss.

As for getting the new hard drive working, I will tell you the basic steps just so you will see there is a profound difference than installing a hard drive in a computer. It is not that there is some SECRET that us techs are keeping to ourselves. But each one of these steps require decisions based on the current configuration of the copier and if they are not done correctly you will be unsuccessful. This one really does take training and experience ... and to get it right the first time without training or experience would just be a matter of lucking out.

1. Partition the hard drive from the machines built in utility
2. Install the HDD and UI data or update the firmware
3. Format the HDD
4. Initialize the NIC

Believe me, you should call a tech on this one.

Toshiba 4511

I have a similar situation that I saw you addressing in regards to a Toshiba E4511. I'm new to this machine and was wondering if I need to update the firmware after I install a replacement drive on the E4511? And if so, where can I get a copy?

Also, The copier works fine now but the printer is not recognized on the network.

Any help would be appreciated,

Oldtimer.
