    Toshiba e studio Error E062

The paper feeds from the 2nd cassette and makes it 2" out of the fuser and jams. The error is for an incorrect paper size setting for the cassette, but it is set correctly. The paper also has a crease 2" from the lead edge if it does make it through and also make a paper crunching noise. I am going to look at transport clutches tomorrow. Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks in advance

    Nope. I'm not psychic.

    What model? =^..^=

If this is a Loire, Loire X, or Loire 2X...
... and it's got a LCF paper deck
... and the E062 jams are from the LCF
    ... and there is a Z-fold intermittently
... and the loop 05-452-0 is set to "20"

then you can try reducing the loop adjustment to around 10.

That's a lot of IFS. It helps if you would include some of that information. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

On the ES 450-452 type models the snap in guide that is right below the registration roller gets bowed and will cause 062 codes. They came out with a metal bar that taped onto the plastic guide to keep is straight. Still though dont know which model you are working on.

Sorry - been a little overwhelmed lately - the model is an e Studio 206L

No it does not have a LCT - Jam from 2nd cassette as stated
It is not Z folding the paper - just a crease
I don't know if it crosses to any Loire
Makes a noise like it is crunching a paper, but leaves only a crease

I think you guys are on track with the clutch and guide.

    Thanks for your assistance

Is the Loire X just a rebrand for sale outside the United States?

No, it's the Series or Family or Engineering name.

You're a Kyocera guy. KM3050ci-5550ci is an AlphardI, KM3051-5551ci is an AlphardII. Like that.

As blackcat said, adjust your aligning values. Another thing to look at is the Registration Sensor Actuator and the 1st Transport Sensor Actuator. Whne these get worn they will cause E061/62 jams.

I would also check the guide on the transfer door just before the reg. roller. They often wear down and will cause the exact symptoms you're describing. I stock the part because we replace it quite often.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?
