Estudio 2550C Lines on Scans / Copies

I have a Toshiba Estudio 2550C That is producing colored lines on scans and copies. These are produced either via flatbed or doc feeder. ( Please see attached document) We have done cleaning on the glass, lenses, mirrors and even replaced the entire scanner lamp assembly. This has not resolved the issue. These line appear in different locations on documents and never formulated the same.

Also as we have a few of these machines, three of them ( including the one with lines ) have started scanning / copying with a blue haze in the background ( also see attached). This haze appears no matter how you scan / copy a document. No amount of cleaning is getting rid of this haze and this haze is not their on just prints.

Just to clarify, these machines are printing perfectly. Scanning and copying errors are both through the flatbed and the Doc feeder.

Any ideas or possible causes would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards
    Peter

Re: Estudio 2550C Lines on Scans / Copies

The most common cause of the lines you see is flecks of dust on the mirrors or slit glass. It looks cyan colored, but it's really blue. The scanner scans in RGB (not CMYK), and if the bit of dust aligns with the blue line of CCD, then the line appears to be blue.

Take your time and carefully clean all optics, without un-adjusting anything important. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
