Toshiba e-2330c Error C550

Looking for a few suggestions on this error. When you put a document in the feeder is displays ready. When you press the start the error comes up and continues to beep until turned off. I have updated the firmware, replaced the ADF cable, ADF board, and sent the SLG board to Hytec for repair. They said it was not in need of repair. Sometimes the ADF will work fine, but then other times it's a hard fail. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance

Might be worth checking the RADF cover microswitch is making properly.
When the lid is closed it's possible for the microswitch to not press down enough and remain open circuit instead of closed, this will give a C550 error.

The microswitch is on the rear frame of the RADF and gets operated by the DF cover. I'd be metering that for continuity while opening / closing the lid.

If the switch isn't making correctly or just borderline, I'd reform the metal actuator on it so the lid operates it better.
