I have this box with an error code C-26. The machine first will put out a copy with shades and black lines and all of a sudden the next copy will be a black copy. Sometimes if I turn it off and back on, I can get it to work for a while but after a few hundred copies it goes back to the same. I have replaced the exposure lamp and board, the Lens unit complete with ccd board, and also the big board behind it where the ccd board connects, and still not working right. By the way when printing it works just fine.

I removed the SLG board and lens unit from a working machine cause I wanted to use them in a sharp AR-651 with a c-26 code, ended up not using the board nor lens unit, so i put them back right? Now I have C-26 on the toshiba that originally worked fine. Any body seen this before? Is this SLG board really that sensible? Please help, Ed.Please help!

If the lamp does not light in test mode I'd look at the inverter. Another thing to consider is whether the firmware on the SLG board is at a version that is compatible with the SYS firmware. When swapping around boards people tend to neglect the firmware versions.

my experience with c26:
replaced CCD unit fix it

there is also a ribon cable to SLG
be sure it is clean and pluged in properly
and use the jig to install CCD
