| Do you have department codes setup on this machine? If you do, then you will need to set the pin code into the print driver.
If you aren't using the deparment code, try a simple print using telnet with the following commands.
telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 9100
Replace x's with IP Address. Once you hit enter, you shoud get a blank screen with a flashing cursor. Type something and you should see the cursor move, but nothing on the screen. Hit enter a couple of times and then just close the command propmt window.
This will send a print job directly to the printer. If it doesn't print out, go to the 'Job Status', 'Log', 'Print' and check to see if the last job has an error code against it. This code can be found in the user manual and will tell you what is wrong.
If the job does print out, then you know it is just a simple matter of incorrect port settings within the print driver. Double check these and let me know how you went. |
