eStudio 3511 setting up printing

When attempting to search for a printer on my network, my computer cannot find the connected eStudio 3511. When attempting to connect to it manually by entering the IP address etc. I'm asked for a username/password, but I don't know what to enter. Machine is second hand.

I'd like to know how to connect to the printer from the PC, and also how to reset all such usernames and passwords.

Computer is XP 32-bit. Driver is PCL5c.

The copier is connected to a router, as is the machine I wish to print from.

I would really appreciate help with this.

Also, if someone could email a service handbook and any other available manuals to m4ps@hotmail.com, I'd be immensely grateful.

you will probably have to go into the config page of your router, you should be able to access that from your pc via a webbrowser ( usually the ip of a router is 192.168.1.254 , but you may need to check the router's documentation for this ) & then asign a static ip for the copier, something like 192.168.1.60 or similar.
once you have asigned an ip, on the copier go into the admin screen ( User ... Admin... ) the default password is 123456, once in admin mode, press the Network tab, then the IP ( or IPV4 ) tab, you will then be able to select Static for the IP, enter the IP as asigned in the router ( IE: 192.168.1.60 ) enter the subnet ( 255.255.255.0 ) & in the Gateway field, enter the router's ip ( IE: 192.168.1.254 )

next on your pc, setup a print driver, select Local Printer , then Create new port ( select TCP/IP ) , then enter the IP of the copier, when asked for the driver, if you already have one installed from your previous attempt, you should be able to select that, otherwise browse for the driver.
if you wish to use LPR instead of Raw, select custom when that screen apears, then you can select the LPR radio button & enter print as the queue name.
in theory you should then be able to print.
note: this is based on using a network cable not usb cable
