    Question 08-674...677 what are codes? e450

    there are some available codes but they aren't been show by the es 350-450's service handbook !!!
    08-674 are you sure (options: cancel and initialize)
    08-675 (options: 1,2,3,4)
    08-676 (option : 1,2)
    08-677 (options: 1,2,3,4)
    everybody can say with me, what do they mean? where can i study these code?

    Which firmware version do you have? - 08-900
    Anyway check e281 handbook they might be the same purpose.

    I only have service handbooks of e280,282,283 but there isn't handbook e281. please send me that servicehandbook or show me the link i can download it.

    These codes enable a "coated paper" under media type for the bypass. Well 676 enables this buttong. 674 sets coated paper for each paper source and 677 sets it for the bypass for each paper type. Is your customer running coated paper that is causing a jam? Apparently these codes increase the time out time for jams on coated paper. I would recommend against using coated paper in these machines, I guess the only thing the jam time out would help with is slipping feed tires/transport rollers. Depending, that is, on where it is increasing the time out which the SH does not indicate.

    Never used this code, apparently there is a need for it because it is there. I just wouldn't run coated paper.
