    Botched Firmware Update

Our Techs tried to do an update and something went wrong, we are unable to get past the start up screen or anything no 08, 05 or anything just stops and hangs...

    Try 3+Clear #3 then #2, reload firmware again (4+9), then 08-947, 08-690(use a 2)

If the above post doesn't work, your looking at having to use the recovery jig that loads the bare minimum and then you can flash with USB.

The jigs are special toshiba tool, available for toshiba partner companies. You can order like spare parts, but you will need programmer, too.

    yes but why would you?
but is sounds like the hdd is corrupt or dead.... try the proceedure for hdd replacement like toshiba tech said and do the firmware again if that fails then try hdd replacement...

    iget into assist mode
Turn ON the power while [3] button and [CLEAR] button are pressed simultaneously

    do option 3

    then do firmware--\
Turn ON the power while [4] button and [9] button are pressed simultaneously.

NOTE Past experiances with firmware on ebridge one units... do all the firmware EXCEPT the nic fiirmware........
when it completes initialize the new firmware....l;et machine come to full ready .. like wait a few minutes..make a copy..... (let the hdd finish the partitions)

THNE go back into 4+9 and do ONLY the nic

    then reinitilize firmware...

this virtually ELIMINIATES the dead nic problems....... I know i killed a few on these before i did it this way
    I fix copiers ...Well Sorta
