Estudio 80 LCF misfeed

Everything was working fine, and all of the sudden, the LCF (if I'm using the wrong term, the large capacity feed that holds 4000 sheets) began to misfeed. Nothing had happened to the copier.

I had changed all of the pickup and other rollers for the LCF several months before. I ordered and replaced the main pickup roller. Still misfeeding. I called a copier service tech. Idiot. Told me that the LCF must have suddenly bent because the paper was meeting the metal at the top of the door. When you push the top few sheets of paper in, then it would copy for a while and then misfeed.

Nothing had happened to the copier. It was just sitting there like it had been.

When testing without paper, the rollers do spin, so that's not the problem. I can tell that the pickup roller is making contact with the paper. I'm thinking now it might be the feed rollers behind the pickup roller, and I'm going to order new ones. But if anyone has another idea, your input is appreciated.

Does LCF tray moves smoothly up and down?
Anyway:
1. Check LCF tray lockout counter. 08-382 set to 0 if it is 1.
2. Check LCF feed sensor. 03-2-B
3. Check LCF feed motor. 03-270

Yes, the LCF moves smoothly. Also, from a previous test a few months ago (this problem has been ignored for months. Just using one of the other trays instead) I was able to get the LCF motor to spin in a test. Don't remember how I did it, but I know it works.

Lockout counter is set to 0

I can't get the 03 test to work. Here's what I'm doing:
03 plus power it beeps I have a screen that has options for up, down, and reset.

If I press copy, it changes to the screen with the letters, but when I touch them, they don't do anything. If I hold down the 2, some of the letters will highlight, however, when you touch them, nothing happens. If I release the 2, then the letters go back to being clear.

I have looked in my book, and it just says 03 plus power, press 2, press B (making sure that the power saver button is not lit) to get to this particular test.

I apologize for my ignorance, but can you help me with performing the test?

Yes of course and I will.

When you press button 2 you have to change the state of the sensor, e.g. you have to actuate it. When you do so respective letter on screen will goes on and off. Thats the way you will know sensor is working.

Like I said, I could get to the letters after pressing Start. Otherwise, if I pressed 2 when up, down, or reset was showing, nothing would happen.

Once I pressed Start, the letters would appear. If I pressed 2, then B, C, and D would highlight until I released the 2.

That's all that happened.

That is the moment when you have to actuate the sensors flag (during button 2 pressing). And letter B on screen must goes on and off. I hope I am clear now.

I appreciate your help in clarifying this. I guess the knowledge I'm missing is how to actuate the sensors. While I'm holding the 2, what do I press to actuate the sensors?

Use your forefinger (for example). If sensor is too away let your colleague helps you with this.
