e-250 Scan not working

Good morning:
I have another question for this e-250 copier. I hooked up the printer using a static IP set to RAW 10001 with PCL driver. Printer working fine on the network. I have downloaded the Viewer program, then the upgrade service pack 1 then service pack 6. It will not detect the scanner. The fax is receiving ok.
Does anyone know which setting I should check or what I need to do to get the scanner working?

Scanning as described can only be done via the parallel port on that device.
Parallel port w/toshiba viewer + fax board has to be installed.

There is no network scanning unless the ifax kit is installed inconjunction with the network kit... which then disables the parallel port.
