Tosh E-Studio 4511 light black copies

I have done a few things to this machine. I changed the transfer belt (Ripped) note:I never saw it make a copy before I got there.
Then I made a copy and black was washed out on the entire page. I changed the black developer. After I changed it still has washed out copies across the entire page. Any Ideas?

What is the mileage on the developer? If it is even close then replace it. Run the dev setup then what the previous poster said to do. Also check the rest of the numbers (drum, transfer rollers, wires) and see if any are over or close and replace these as well.

I would recommend doing 395 everytime not 396. 395 restores or tries to restore the output to the last known good settings (i.e. the last time you ran 396) if you run 396 with bad copies the machine will try to maintain that bad output. Make sure the slit glass is clean, usually this makes washed out copies on the edges though.

yes clean laser very good idea travis

by the way 396 is the right code as i read it in the s handbook b4 i posted ..395 if i recall sets the baseline but does not calibrate

and yes i have had washed out copies after changing parts ... do 08-396 let us know how it works.... dirty slit glass is common ... but the symptom is fade along one edge when you print... not an overall fade... HOWEVER these dust bad and cleaning the slit is number one while you are trying to correct a copy quality issue. the black solids are great on these.... so if it needs anything pm wise do it....
