Help with Toshiba FC22

My copier was working well, then one day, I get that CALL SERVICE message with a CF1 error code. After some research online on what seems to be the problem, I tried going into TEST MODE (05) and tried the 407 START (force color registration control) .. it gives me also a CALL SERVICE message. I am able to do the 878 & 879 routine for the ICQ sensor but for the color registration , it gives me a CALL SERVICE message.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. Is this something simple or shall I discard my color copier. I am tempted to auction it on ebay or sell it on craigslist.

As added info, when I get the values after the 461 START on the TEST MODE (05) .. I get a value of 15 on the (Y) which states READING ERROR on the color test pattern. Do you guys think my color registration sensors are bad ? both of them ?

Its been a while for this machine, but I believe that the sensors are on a bar above the belt. you slide a cover to expose them and clean them with brush or soft cloth. Wow that copier has some age on it!

thanks ... yes this machine has served the company well .. it was properly and religiously maintained by a OMNI Business Machine.. but now it is not anymore under any maintenance contract ... I tried cleaning those 2 sensors but to no avail..... if I only am sure that they are the problem ... I dont mind replacing them ... I just dont want to spend money just to find out that they are not the problem ... ... If I turn off those sensors, the copier goes to the normal routine and it will go into READY MODE ... but when you make a copy , one of the colors is off ... like having a shadow on the document being photo copied ... but it copies well .. except that shadow like because of one color being off ....
