| It will probably take you a good 3-4 hours to do it first time and get the machine cleaned out. Basically: pull finisher, pull bridge unit, pull output cover, pull covers off front, several blue screws, two long captive screws, one lever at top right flips up, three captive screws for cleaning blade (bracket comes off), cleaning blade assy moves out of way to top left, 2 connectors.. i might be forgetting some stuff or some might be out of order but that's the main parts. When you have it out: two brackets then it folds, belt comes off. On the assy: two position sensors clean them/belt assy off. Clean the facing roller (against 2nd xfer in door) off with scotch brite if it has build up on it. While it is apart, pull the drum unit clean the slit glass (have to remove erase lamps (two screws at front)). Vacuum out all the toner that is likely everywhere. Also while belt is out there is a quality sensor near the 2nd transfer under the belt, slide the cover out of the way and clean it. There are two sensors over the revolver one for your toners and one for the mag roller which is selonoid controled... clean those out. Yeah these machines are AWESOME. Oh yeah replace the belt blade while you are at it because the belt has to come out to get that blade assy out if i remember right. Well that pissed me off thinking about it. |
