pre-paied rechargeable card for toshiba

Dear Guys,
One of our customers asks for a smart card systems to run the copying.
charge per copy systems to the students as pre-paied rechargeable card.

i am asking if anybody has come across a similar situation and if there any 3rd party options to fulfill these needs.
i am considering the Hudson series machines 452/453.

Well I can't really help you other than to say: I hope you are selling either a -lot- of these setups or are getting a -lot- per copy. I don't know schools over there, but over here the teachers tear them up bad enough... I can't imagine what a bunch of kids would do. I am pretty certain if we sold a machine setup like you say we would lose money on it.

We have used these systems on the Toshiba's (All series other than eS207's and the like). The students use their student ID card (which has a magnetic strip on the back) and put their card into a recharge machine. Enter in money and the card is good to go.

The ammounts on the card are held at a central server, so if the student looses their card, the ammount can be recovered.

Everything runs over IP and can be remotely managed.
