    C970

    C970 High voltage transformer abnormality: Leakage of the main charger is detected. Check your main charge unit, clean or replace patrs if needed, turn power off then on.

    quick answer

    take out the drum unit and contol main charger.sometimes there is a trace of discharging one the corona cleanershaft. take it away and try a copy if it works know what it is. another thing make a copy shut down the copier if paper is near drumunit.there is an image on the drum unit maincharger is ok if its all black main is foult.other wise have to control transfer sep.corona for leaking or broken coronawires.

    try changing the main charge ,transfer and separation wires first.

    281c close front cover

    hi all.got a 281c that powers up and goes to ready and copies fine,yet if you open the front cover or fuser cover ,it won't go back to ready after closing it again,it just stays at "close front cover" at the display.tried a different switch no luck.any ideas ?thanks

    If you open the duplex cover copier have display close duplex cover if not ajust the frontcover with the metall hook and the scale just inside frontcover.have to bee carefull this ajustment. another way open duplex take a screwdriver hold the interlook at the back side down if it says close front cover just make the ajustment i have descript at top this was a service note hear in europe
    have a good luck it must display right (Close Front cover) (Close Duplex- Side Cover)

    needs new main charge wire and grid and two updates or trans sep hanger broken.
