    e-studio 452

    Hi..
I have an Toshiba E-studio 452, and when I try to enter in 08 mode, appears "Machine Information Error" in the monitor.. In 03, and 05 codes is everything ok. I try to make some copies, and the copy is good.
    Some idea?

What did you do exactly in 3+C mode? Give more history...

By doing the clear-3 option 3 you repartitioned the hard drive and it will need to be flashed with firmware before it will be usable. If you did clear-3 option 1 then you should be alright. Try to reflash the firmware and then go in 08 mode to format the hard drive(08-690-2).
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

but I can't enter in 08 mode.. when I do that appears "Machine Information Error", and the only thing that I can do it's push the button "Energy saver" and the machine turns off..
I think it's a problem from the prom.. but I don't have any to test..

If you did the clear 3 power on oprion 3 then you HAVE to flash the firmware to the machine. This wipes the drive and will not go into 08 mode until the firmware has been reflashed before you can go format the hard drive.

Spock is saying to reload the firmware and THEN go into 08 mode.

If you have the firmware you may as well go 3+C options 3 then options 2, load firmware, then 08-947, 08-690
If you can't get it to take firmware via a USB but you do get the 3+C options to go through you probably need to load via a recovery jig. If you can't get 3+C to work then you probably need to replace HDD.

EDIT oops - we both posted about the same time, oh well!

There is a jumper on some of the system boards, like a cmos reset on a motherboard. Try reseting the board. That has cleared up the Machine Information Error for me. I guy at Hytec told me to do this and it worked.
