    Default Scan Setting - e-Studio 281c

    Hello,

for a special reason the default Scan Settings (pushing the Scan-Button, Save to file) were changed to PDF by a technician.
Now I want to set this back to TIFF. In user functions there are several possibilities, but I only managed to set it to TIFF (black) by default. I want it TIFF (Autocolour or Fullcolour). Everytime I change to Colour and go to Scan to file I find PDF active by default!

    Why?

Your technician can turn it back. It is in service mode. I am not sure if there is another possibility to turn it back to tiff, but anyway check in TopAccess.

Yes, I remember he did something unusual on the touch panel, looking at the default templates and modifying one to suit our needs.

I'll tell him. I can make a template for that, but the scan job (special one occurring several times a day) requires to type a special name manually for the file and it would be faster to access it from the Scan-Button instead of loading the template, pressing Scan to file again, file name etc.

    Thank you

Go to top acess find your scaning template under the registration tab. Click and and you will see a center section labeled as "Save as file" settings. Chooes you tiff or tiff multi selection. Click save.

Go down to the next section , chooes your dpi settings. Usually toshiba copier will not except the tiff and auto colour combo and kick your setting back out to the last default. Don;t ask me why, it's just how it is according to toshiba DSC. Chosse tiff as file type and "full color" as main setting. It will hold these settings. Click save and save again in the next screen. You can go back and choose black when you need to temporarily on the copier.
