    Toshiba E550 torn paper corners

Got a customer that has a Toshiba E550 that periodically has the corner of the paper creased and or torn off. When u pull the sorter away from the machine u can see little pieces of paper that has been torn off the copies lying on the floor. It only seems to be happening when u use letter paper not letter r, and possibly only when u use the doc feeder?.They have a tandem LCF tray that they r using for the letter paper. Also is there a way(code) to make the copies come out of the sorter face up instead of face down?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Clean and check all registration and feed clutches. This appears to be a fairly common issue. Also make sure that the paper itself is being fed straight, which may require replacing feed rollers. Most often then not, it's the registration cluth causing the corner problem.

Here's a photo showing where to install a mylar strip for this problem, also make sure the side doors are parallel with their vertical plates.
