Toshiba E-Studio 200

I have a customer that is practically begging me to take over service on this machine.

Just wondering how it is in the field.

It has 150K right now and looks like it needs dev and or drum.

Also she said it intermittently jams in the fuser.

Is this a machine to stay clear of?

TIA

Is it just a ES 200 or a 200L, 200L is a far superior machine. If it is old school 200 then The process section is pretty good, developer lasts seemingly forever... the fuser kinda stinks, I would just charge them and put a whole unit in it, also look at the exit/duplex claws they tend to crack on the older 200. A 200L is a lot better machine overall. 200L with fuser jams is probably the pickoffs or wore out heat roller or both. 200L fuser is nicer to rebuild, plus the networking side is a lot better.

Yup 200L, sorry

Good to hear. I'll fax them a quote in the A.M.

Thanks

I haven't worked on a Toshiba in quite a while. Is it still hold down 05 to get into service mode?

What is the code for aging the dev? Also do I need to reset anything for a new drum?

Thanks

hold 6 and start while turning on to enter pm support mode then 2 start and you can reset the parts counters. 1 start will setup the developer for you.

08 252 set to 0 will reset the pm light if you have done it. Other wise the codes are now 3 digits and to enter the diag modes are the same.
