| There was a firmware problem that dealt with tray feeding. Unplug the finisher and see if problem resolves. If so update firmware to latest (easiest way to do this is just buy the EEproms from Toshiba). Also, there is a blurb in the 8070 handbook that states if you have a C15,16 or 17 error code, the affected tray is disable and the LCD screen will reflect "add paper" for the problematic tray. Look in the error history for these codes. You can also test S33 (Paper Empty) and S47 (cassete detect) in the I/O mode (power on with 0/3 depressed). With Energy Saver LED Off press #4 key and pull casette in and out.. "G" should alternate states if sensor is working. For the tray empty sensor, you'll have to stick your hand in the feed section and manually flag S33. With Key#5 depressed, "D" should now alternate states. Good luck. Ed |
