Question e studio 45 - windows vista print driver - help

i was wondering if some one could help me on this.
right now i am just using the machine as a copy and fax.
i can not seem to find the correct drivers that will work with windows vista for this machine. if someone can please point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.
i believe it is a GL1040.

In order to use Vista with this machine you will need the gl1010 and the newest firmware on both the machine and the gl1010. There is no Vista driver for the ga1040. You can try the XP driver but there is no guarantee that it will work.

There are Vista drivers for both the GA-1040 and GL-1010 (v2 and up) on the American Toshiba website.

If they don't work, you could always try the Australian Toshiba website as I know we have the drivers.

If you don't already have a printer set up for the machine, you'll need to use the "Add Printer Wizard" to set up the print driver. Select the Local option and create a TCP/IP port with the machines IP address. When it asks for the drivers click "Have Disk" and browse out to the file you extracted. Then finish the wizard. you may need to go into the properties window and make sure the "Configuration" tab as all the options for your machine. Hope this helps.

Monbat is right on the money there. You will only usually get setup files on the CD's that come with the machines or low end printers.

As a network tech, I prefer not using setup files any way as you don't know what they are installing. Alot of IT people get a bit funny about port monitors and stuff like that being automatically installed on their servers, as do I.
