Toshiba 4511 Check the color toner cartridge

Hi Guys,

I have a Toshiba 4511. It has this error message that says "Check the color toner cartridge" on the scree. None of the buttons do anything.

This error happened after adding a new cyan toner.

Any idea what could cause this and how to fix it?

Thanks,

Jason

The censor is just beside the Auto density censor.

Thanks.

The above posts are correct, on this model you will do yourself a big favour by doing all the Toshiba mods, the copier will run far better.

The instruction sent to me says to remove the "maintenance tray" however the service manual that I have, makes no reference to a maintenance tray. It does however have a procedure to remove the Receiving tray. Is that the same thing?

If it is, i tried to remove the receiving tray following the instructions however there is something in the way on the right hand edge of it. Do I have to pull that off too?

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Dear Friend,

The PDF pages i attached show "Color Toner Cartridge Sensor" Clearly.Just clean this sensor, copier won't ask you again to check color toner cartridge.

It's the receiving tray, pull it off, there are two sensors over the revolver unit. One towards the middle is the density sensor. You can open it manually and blow it out with air. One towards rear of machine is toner detection, blow it off with air. (You'll have to remove them, a few screws) to clean them well.

You will have to pull finisher and bridge off if the machine has one, two screws for recv. tray.
